By the way, the announcement also includes the news that the court’s L.A. office will also start closing for lunch between noon and 1 p.m. starting Monday, December 15, 2008.
Part of the closures must have to do with saving money during an ailing economy.
Saving money may have had something to do with the length of the closure (a full week!), but isn’t the Los Angeles office traditionally closed for Christmas?
If it is about the money, then we might have more scheduling difficulties (which this closure caused me) to look forward to.
